On the big rock candy mountain You never change your socks And the little streams of alchohol Come trickling down the rocks Another from Oh Brother "Don't ask me silly questions I won't play silly games I'm just a simple choo choo train And I'll always be the same.
I only want to race along Beneath the bright blue sky And be a happy choo choo train Until the day I die." Blane The Mono

home early from Grand Jury...light case load.
My grandmother wouldnt let us sing the hobo version of Big Rock Candy Mountain...so we sang "O the buzzin of the bees in the Peppermint trees and the soda water fountains". Im heading to Google to find out who sang that version. and I dont find it. Anyone else know the kids version?

On the Oh Brother soundtrack it is credited to Harry McClintock but that is definately the hobo version. "Don't ask me silly questions I won't play silly games I'm just a simple choo choo train And I'll always be the same.

If you didnt care What happened to me And I didnt care For you We would zig zag our way Through the boredom and pain Ocasionally glancing up through the rain Wondering which of the buggars to blame And watching For pigs on the wing Pink Floyd "Don't ask me silly questions I won't play silly games I'm just a simple choo choo train And I'll always be the same.

Hi Kattale, Steve Goodman has that version toward the end of his life. He was dying from leukemia and was on a lot of meds. He had hooked up with Jethro (from Homer and Jethro) and Im sorry I dont know his last name. I have some recordings that are incredible when you figure how sick he was and how many meds he was on. Worried man worried man Im a weary worried man
Hungry babies dont understand papa is a worried man
The place I used to draw my pay slammed the door on me today
And told me just to stay away and no come back again
I went back home to bring the news my woman saw that I had the blues
But she said the babies need new shoes and Im a worried man
Worried man worried man...
[Guitar]
Well there is no way that I can see that I can feed my family
Cause I dont own no money tree and very little lam
But I said mama dont you cry Ill get a job up fore the days gone by
I dont know where though and that is why Im a worried man
Worried man worried man...
Worried man worried man...

Once there was an Inca queen She gazed at her sun dial All around her workers raised Golden idols to her smile She spoke of silver from the sky And many floating safety boats To pick them up when they would fly Far beyond their dreams and hopes Neil Young "Don't ask me silly questions I won't play silly games I'm just a simple choo choo train And I'll always be the same.

See these tears so blue An ageless heart that can never mend These tears can never dry A judgement made can never bend See these eyes so green I can stare for a thousand years Just be still with me You wouldnt believe what Ive been thru David Bowie "Don't ask me silly questions I won't play silly games I'm just a simple choo choo train And I'll always be the same.
