Nope. Just adding some color commentary like I always do.

It's the "new age religious salad bar type thingy". LOL

Hmm...
What would I base a statement like that on? Did you refute it?
Perhaps I ASKED you if you had a Bible or read it?
Or something like...

As far as I know, he was not a witness to Matthias's appointment. or any of the 12 apostles appointments or to Jesus. He just wrote what he was told after his conversion. Since Paul was the biggest influence on Luke I question Luke. It's no surprise that Paul's writings were canonized since paganism had made it's way into Christianity by that time. Luke was a witness to the transformation that occurred in Paul's life.
What do you suppose happened on the road to Damascus?
Here is a description of the man that began that journey and the man at the end of the journey. What do suppose happened in between?
Acts 9:1-2, 8-9, 19-22 NIV
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ... Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. All those who heard him were astonished and asked, "Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?" Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.
Luke was not a witness to Paul's transformation. He didn't join Paul until later in his travels. "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music in which he hears, however measured, or far away.” Henry David Thoreau

He bore witness to the transformation that occurred in Paul's life, based on the before and after. The reputation of Saul compared to the transformed Paul. Night and day. From jewish zealot to the greatest apostle alive.
Honestly, it would have been quite natural for some of the apostles and leaders to be resentful of Paul.

From the time of Paul's supposed transformation until Luke joins him is about 14 years. "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music in which he hears, however measured, or far away.” Henry David Thoreau

From the time of Paul's supposed transformation until Luke joins him is about 14 years. That would be a long time to fake it.
After 14 years, we could confirm the transformation as the genuine article.

They didn't have radio, TV and Internet in those days. Luke was going mostly by what paul told him. "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music in which he hears, however measured, or far away.” Henry David Thoreau

If Paul was the malicious liar and charlatan that you make him out to be, why would Peter say this?
2 Peter 3:15-16 NIV Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

By casting doubt on one apostle you cast doubt on at least four.
- The Apostle Paul - The Apostle Luke that named him as an apostle - The Apostle Barnabas that Luke named as an apostle - The Apostle Peter that authenticated the apostle Paul's ministry

He called him brother Paul not apostle Paul. Peter called Paul's letters hard to understand. I think he was confused. Calling the Apostle Paul "our dear brother" may have been MORE of a compliment than using a title. An Apostle might be a guest, but a brother is family. "Blood", they say, "is thicker than water."
Granted, the Apostle Peter said the Apostle Paul's letters contain some things that are hard to understand. Look what else he said about that. "... which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction."
And "... He writes the same way in all his letters..." Meaning, the Apostle Peter was familiar with ALL of Apostle Paul's letters.
And most importantly... The Apostle Peter said the Apostle Paul "... wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him." Meaning, the Apostle Peter recognized that the Apostle Paul's writings were inspired by God.

PROBABLY? I'll have to remember that for future debates. "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music in which he hears, however measured, or far away.” Henry David Thoreau

What do they call that when you say one thing and mean something else? "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music in which he hears, however measured, or far away.” Henry David Thoreau

Second thoughts?
Further consideration?
