Steve, I will answer all your Bible questions where you lack in understanding the Scriptures. [1] EVEN TODAY, JEWS COMMONLY REFER TO GOD AS HASHEM. [theName] Religiously, the Jews today are worst than Christendom. They did not accept Jesus as the Messiah or Son of Jehovah when he was on earth! They are still waiting for their messiah to arrive. And like Christendom today, the Jews did not accept Jesus' teachings and that is why Jewish religious leaders had him put to death. [Matthew 26:1-5; Mark 14:1, 2; Luke 22:1, 2] That is why Jesus abandoned the Jews and turned to the Gentile nation. [Matthew 23:38, 39] As mentioned earlier, you are misapplying the third commandment as the Jews did. You must be as superstitious as those Jews. Jesus used the name Jehovah often, thousands of times. Matthew 22:37: Jesus said, "You must love Jehovah your God with your whole soul...." The Bibles you use, your boys have removed the Divine name from its pages, added scriptures to suit their opinions, changed words to support false doctrines, and placed the comma in the wrong place. Your Bible even have Jesus in hell. Oral Robert's Bibles has several of his pictures among the pages, in the most beautiful colors, smiling with his wife. This is why you can't grasp the meaning of the scriptures. Don't let your pride stand in the way of everlasting life.

That's a good point. I was never allowed to call my Mom, Dad, grandpa, and grandma by their name. Why shouldn't we show God that same respect. Maybe the JWs should change their name to Our Father in heaven Witnesses."If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. STEVELUNDGREN--NO EVIDENCE THAT BOTH ADAM AND EVE USED GOD'S NAME, ONLY EVE. RIGHT? Steve, that is a ridiculous statement, you can do better that. Adam was equipped with the power of speech and with a highly developed vocabulary. He was able to give meaningful names to the living creatures all around him. He was capable of carry on a two-way conversation with his God and with his wife. For all these reasons and many more, Adam was under obligation to love, worship, and strictly obey his Grand Creator. More than that, the Universal Lawgiver spelled out for him the simple law of obedience and fully informed him of the just and reasonable penalty for disobedience. [Genesis 2:16, 17; 3:2, 3] Not withstanding this explicit law carrying a severe penalty for disobedience, he did disobey. I can arrange a Bible study for you. You need one in a worst way.

"The question here is, did the two use their Creator's personal name?" - jnk309
Based strictly on biblical evidence, the answer is no. Is that the ridiculous statement you are referring to?
I have ZERO interest in your Bible study.

Beyond a reasonable doubt they used the Creator's personal Name. How else would Eve have known the Name if Adam did not tell her. That is just like you saying, that you never had to use your father's personal name growing up. If every detail of record was recorded in the Bible, there would not be space to contain the volumes. Evidences is overwhelming, that the only path to living in the new system is through Jehovah's organization. Keep reading what I post, and you will see concrete evidence why. A Bible study will always be open to you and whomever wants to live through this Great Day of Jehovah. Your friend John

I love the avatar you have chosen. Very nice. Like a breath of fresh air on this tired old forum.
It seems that you are still struggling to understand my terminology. Perhaps that is just my perception and/or your inability to word your thoughts precisely.
Evidence is hard facts. Conjecture is what you suppose. As I said, there is no evidence. Which, though true, you felt was a ridiculous comment. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" is a better position for you to speak from.
I am familiar with the text. If you really had "concrete evidence" you would have shared it by now.
Just so we are clear, I don't read your posts to learn about Jehovah. I read them to learn more about the destructive religious organization you are committed to. And to refute the false statements they trained you to parrot.
Good day to you, friend.

The 7.5 million baptized Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide and over 5 million more having free Bible studies and commemorating the death of Jesus Christ each year are the ones that came out of false religion. At one time, they too believed in the immortality of the soul, Trinity, eternal punishment in hell, rapture, worshiping creations, and so forth. After a careful study with the Witnesses, making clear understanding of the Scriptures, they hurriedly wanted to be baptized. Did you not know in the Catholic country of Italy, Jehovah's Witnesses are the second largest religious denomination? And in about every family tree, their is a Jehovah's Witness. These are the ones that have taken time to see what really the Bible has to offer. What I have posted in the past concerning the Bible, is concrete evidences that can not be refuted. You need to take time to digest and meditate on the message provided. I do thank you for your comments. Your friend

In reference to Jesus Christ, whom you demote to a created being, the Apostle Peter said this:
Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

STEVELUNDGREN: It is obvious, you do not want to accept what is written in the Bible. Jesus definitely was created: Revelation 3:14; Colossians 1:15; Proverbs 8:22-30. And Jesus is an angel. [Revelation 20:1] He is Micheal the archangel: [Rev. 12:4] By worshiping Jesus you are breaking the second commandment:[Exodus 20:4] You worship Jesus, but you do not accept his teachings.[Luke 4:8] Jesus said: "It is Jehovah God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service." You don't want a free Bible study with Witnesses, so stop wasting your time, lock your Bibles in a chest and read the books of the world. Your friend John

John 1:1, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Did you ever ask your father if you are he? I am sure he can help you with John 1:1, that you are his son and not he. I had a King James Bible, that, in the preface it read: "...the Word was a god. I have further evidences to reveal, that Jesus is not God. John 1:1 is a stumbling to you and I want to help you with it. Always your friend, John

The Encyclopedia Americana notes that the doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be "beyond the grasp of human reason. Many who accept the Trinity view it that same way. Monsignor Eugene Clark says: "God is one, and God is three. Since there is nothing like this in creation, we cannot understand it, but only accept it." Cardinal John O'Connor states: "We know that it is a very profound mystery, which we don't begin to understand." And Pope John Paul II speaks of "the inscrutable mystery of God the Trinity. A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge says: "Precisely what that doctrine is, or rather precisely how it is explained, Trinitarians are not agreed among themselves."
