The good news is that God wants to be in a relationship with us
more than we want to be in a relationship with Him.
The One who knew us before we were conceived (Jeremiah 1:4)
and knit us together in our mother's womb (Psalm 139:13)
He wants to be our Father.
While we are His offspring by creation,
His desire is that we might become His children through redemption.

Thanks bro. We could use some good news about now.

Interesting that Jesus adds this comment about the judgment day.
It shows the importance of a personal relationship with HIM, not with a human organization.

Matthew 7:23
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Interesting, "The Good News" was the title of one of the Church of God's magazines if I remember correctly.

That's tragic.

But why are you breaking the sabbath?

Isn't that risky business for someone that hopes to be saved by their own works?

By works do you mean like going to church on sun-day obeying the RCC's law???

No, not at all!

Believing the false doctrine that salvation is based on ones Sabbath attendance and/or keeping of the Ten Commandments is your deal.

If you think you will be saved by sabbath keeping, this post stands as evidence against you.

James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

If you think you will be saved by observing the RCC's sun-day "Scripture" is against you, It is the Sabbath as the Day throughout the Scriptures, NOT SUN-DAY!!! Sorry.

If what you say is true, we are both goners.

Fortunately for me, what you say is not true. So only you are a goner.

Romans 2:12
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law,
and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Besides, I do not claim salvation by any day. Salvation is by Jesus Christ alone.

Why do you go to church on the RCC's sun-day? Jesus or no one in the Scriptures ever observed the 1st day of the week on a regular basis? Do you consider sun-day keeping as part of your belief of salvation? If not why do you even bother with it as it's nonScriptural?

But at least the RCC states you will not be anathematized for keeping the Sabbath so you are not a goner according to the RCC and that should make you happy.

First day of the week worship came centuries before the RCC banned rest on the sabbath.

We have always gone to church on Sunday.
And here you show up claiming it's a sin.
That's totally messed up.

The only thing unscriptural about this whole thing is your judaizing.
This whole thing was settled in Acts chapter 15.
But here you are declaring that gentiles should follow the law of Moses.

Oh sorry. You have no idea what a gentile or Jew is. Never mind.
