REGARDING THE SABBATH
There is NO scripture commanding Christians to keep the Saturday sabbath. Surely there would be a command if it was of such importance as to affect our salvation! Christians have always met for fellowship and the breaking of bread on the first day of the week, Sunday, and continue to do so until this day. They do not claim Sunday is the “sabbath” but rather , the “Lord’s Day”. Sunday worship was not introduced by the Roman Catholic Church, although they like to take credit for it. Catholics merely carried on where the Apostles left off. The claim by SDA’s that Christians are worshipping the sun by meeting on Sunday, is just as ridiculous as us accusing the SDA’s of worshipping Saturn, because they meet on Saturday!

The Lord God said to keep and honor HIS DAY, HE made a DAY SPECIAL for ALL mankind and what does man do? Make every effort, excuse and reason he can to annul and void HIS Sabbath and replace it with sunday (sunday as the weekly day of worship HAS NO SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION. PERIOD!!) Why can't you get that God set His Sabbath as a SPECIAL DAY TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP HIM!!! I pray that you stop and think about that. We are to pray and honor God every day of the week but He said the 7th Day is a special day and your "wait till Sat..." is a stupid asinine s/a remark and you know .... well it is! And how many Topics do you guys need just to tear apart God's Holy Sabbath Day? The Lord knows very well the disdain that is held for His Sabbath Day and dozens of Topics are not needed to do so. Others held to the the seventh day. Some held even after Rome dictated the first day worship. One thing that is rarely considered is that many Jewish Christians probably met both days. They went to synagogue on the sabbath and heard the reading of the Torah. On the first day of the week they met with gentile believers and other Jewish Christians to worship Jesus, which was obviously not allowed in the synagogues. Eventually, the Jewish Christians moved away from sabbath observance and only met on the first day of the week.
There is no rule that states you can't enjoy both days. That's my take.

I have never claimed that the sabbath was changed to Sunday.
That is your claim.
No reason I should have to prove your claim.
Gentiles have never been required to observe the sabbath.

In this post, TerryD, acknowledges the fact that SOME early Christians did indeed gather on the FIRST day of the week. It really does not matter that more people in Rome met on the first day, the fact remains that even the atheist admits that some early Christians everywhere did meet on the first day of the week.
If "some" did meet on the first day in the first centuries, obviously the RCC did NOT institute gathering on the first day of the week 300 years later!Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

We are demanded to produce evidence that the sabbath was changed to Sunday, a claim we have never made.
When we ask for evidence that gentiles are to observe the sabbath, a claim they do make,
we are told that an example is better than a command. Which means, there is no command.
Plus they claim the example of the Apostle Paul who preaches very clearly against their judaizing.
To summarize. We were asked to produce evidence for something we never claimed.
They are unable to produce evidence to prove their claim.
Looks like a slam dunk win for us. Hooray!!!!!!!!!!

Since you refuse to follow Christs examples and deny Him thats your problem. For a True Christian a command is not needed and when told to "follow" Christ's example thats good enough. And as I said before, if it were a command you would only figure out some excuse to break it so as a command it wouldn't mean anything to you anyway! I follow Christ, not the Mosaic Covenant. Jesus Christ commanded love for God and love for your neighbor, even your enemy. Jesus and his Apostles never suggested that Gentile converts should live by the Mosaic Covenant.
So I guess sonny35's dancing around the issue is going to stand as proof that there is no obligation for Christians to observe the Sabbaths. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I know following Christ is not for you when it comes to THE SABBATH DAY, but it is for Christians who chose to FOLLOW Christ !!!
There is no command whatsoever for Christians to observe the Mosaic Covenant which includes the seventh day Sabbath. If we are to ASSUME that we, as Christians, should perform every single act that Jesus did, then there are still more than 600 commands from God. Jesus was Jewish, raised under the Mosaic Covenant and he was perfect. The ONLY way Jesus could be absolutely perfect is to observe each and every command in the Mosaic Covenant, all 600!
Despite all of the Commands Jesus gave, despite how many parallel can be found in the Old Testament, in 3-1/2 years of teaching, there is not ONE SINGLE time that Jesus EVER repeated the seventh day Sabbath command.
So, are we to follow every last jot and tittle as Jesus did in order to be saved? Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
