Everyone has their own ideas on how this government should be run and how to solve every crisis. You can get a thousand differing opinions on how to boost the economy and provide jobs that are meaningful and long lasting. Well just like everyone else, I have my solution to unemployment, rebuilding America's industrial base and boost the overall economy to rival the effect of World War II on recovering from the depression of the 1930's.

Before Ronald Reagan, if had to do with the US military, it was 100% American made, by and for Americans. No matter what the piece of equipment or how it was used, if the military depended on it, it was American made. Ronald Reagan's policies changed all of that and turned our military into primarily, a commercial enterprise to make a handful of people ultra rich. War became big business driven by profit margins.

This combined with the effect Reagan had on unionized labor when he fired the air traffic controllers paved the way for the out sourcing of American work at EVERY level of business. Ten years later, by the time daddy Bush started the Gulf War, not one single piece of the US military was 100% American made, not even the underwear!

This has utterly destroyed the American manufacturing base and made us more open to a disaster when our "allies" stop supplying our military machine, when a blip in the stock market could paralyze our military.

One simple law, perhaps even as simple as an executive order could turn this nation around. All we need to do is, once again, require ALL military equipment and hardware to be manufactured within the United States of America borders. Literally MILLIONS of jobs would be recreated overnight that would drive this economy to unbelievable growth.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
