In virtually every post I make, there he is to attack. Rather than respond with some sort of evidence or reason to not believe the new Republican tax plan will end up forcing an estimated $400 BILLION dollar CUT to Medicare, what do we get? More personal slurs and insults and an irrelevant attempt to deflect from the actual topic. How should a reasonable person respond to the constant haranguing of this nature?

Disgusting.

And don't feign concern for low-income folks when
you are supporting mass immigration. Nothing could be worse
for low-income families than the loss of job availability
caused by mass immigration. Socialist folly to think
otherwise. Bent on the destruction of America.

The money has to come from somewhere.
What would you do? Leave us defenseless?
That would be the Marxist/leftist way.
All the while claiming collusion with the Russians.

Those people are zealous to win you over,
but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us,
so that you may have zeal for them. - Galatians 4:17

The post had nothing to do with immigration nor does it feign concern about anything. Anyone earning less than $75,000 will see a tax increase while those with income above $100,000 will see a tax cut. This is specifically about how the Republican party plans on decimating all of our social safety nets to pay for their continuing upward transfer of wealth.

I think you are misrepresenting the facts on this.

There will be an amount, the first $24,000 for an individual, or $48.000 for a married couple,
if I remember correctly, that will be tax-free. Taxes won't kick in until after that.

The taxable amount may be at a higher rate, but you
have to include the amount not being taxed.

I have no idea what facts I have misrepresented. An income of $24,000 is the federal poverty level for a family of 4, or 150% of the poverty level for a family of two. Today a very large percentage of income is spent on basics like housing, food and utilities, whether single or otherwise. Do you believe we should tax these people more just so we can cut taxes for the ultra rich?

The tax rate is currently 15% for a single person earning $18,000 and $75,000 with a $9,300 personal deduction. Are you claiming there will now be a $24,000 standard personal deduction?

That would be NO TAXES for the poor, not HIGHER taxes. --

The taxes collected from paychecks every week pay for Social Security and Medicare. The limited amount of funding that may come from the general income taxes collected is not a huge budget drain. These payroll deuctions cover the huge majority of payments being made to beneficiaries so there is very little burden on the federal budget.

Tax cuts for millionaires = sacrifice of Social Security and Medicare.

Social Security and Medicare do NOT drive the federal budget, the fund is OWED some 2.6 TRILLION dollars. These programs are still quite successful, they are insurance programs paid into over a lifetime, they are primarily paid through current worker and employer contributions. If the Government makes good on it's decades of borrowing and pays back the 2.6 TRILLION dollars owed to the program, it will be perfectly fine without making any changes or cutting benefits for many decades.

The new "tax reform" will cause more than one TRILLION dollars added to the national debt that must be funded by other budget cuts. The economy is doing okay, it isn't failing, jobs have been steady, housing and car sales have been doing quite well, inflation is low. The only real reason for giving this massive tax cut is claimed to be needed to stimulate the economy, increase hiring and to grow the GDP..... Ronald Reagan has shown this trickle down never occurred. Instead, there has been a steady trickle upwards to the already wealthy.

Why create a higher deficit while the economy is doing okay?

Finally, after voting in favor of the tax plan, Marco Rubio admits that Congress will be required to cut social security, medicare and medicaid to finance the !massive payment to the donor class! They will continue to drain away the funds that every American worker has paid into for life in order to fund their pet projects.

Excuse me for posting a quote from the Holy Bible on your thread. There is no need to go berserk, one post is sufficient. But again, I apologize for post a quote from the Holy Bible on your thread.

One message would suffice, posting on every thread of mine is the harassment you seem to love doing.
