The events listed seem to indicate a long sustained and widespread attack on Western, and particularly U.S., interests by a worldwide Muslim fellowship. Many attacks on distinctly sectarian and Capitalistic targets carried out by self proclaimed religious zealots designed to bring about the economic collapse and demoralization of who they see as The Great Satan.

Does anyone really expect this entire situation will resolve in any peaceful, non-violent way? It is worth ranting and railing against the never ending tide of waste or is it better to simply pray for the swift and decisive victory of righteousness by God?

There can be only One.

Can you sight an instance were prayer brought about the swift and decisive victory of righteousness by God? It is something I think most have done, taking e-mail or reports at their word and is a good reason to check the source. Factcheck.org imo is a good place to cross check fact from fiction and they also point out that conservatives and liberals are both guilty of these types of mail. Both sides know they can sway a percentage of voters with this type of propaganda.

Sarge

I have gotten caught up in the avalanche of e-mails and jumped before I really gave it proper thought too... fortunately most of us learn to verify such things before we perpetuate them. The really scary part is when I get the wacky e-mails from people I generally respect and think are relatively intelligent. It makes me wonder how many will forward an e-mail even if they don't believe the specific "facts" so long as it cuts down a person they don't like.

It is sort of like commercials... they are generally aimed at a relatively few in the audience that may be easily swayed. If only 1% of the public believe something in a commercial it can earn millions of extra dollars, or votes, by swaying their opinions.
