Trump constantly claims to 'love' the First Amendment, I wonder if he has ever read our Constitution he has sworn an oath to uphold, protect and defend?

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Clearly, Trump vilifies free speech and the Constitutionally protected "press"if it views him negatively, two of the most important aspects of the amendment. It seems Trump does not know our right to assemble and petition government is part and parcel of the very same First Amendment.

Of course the first argument brings up riots and looting, two criminal acts committed by a limited amount of criminals; there is no excuse, anyone caught should be prosecuted. I could never understand why law enforcement chooses to stand aside and allow looting on live TV. Each and every person climbing through a smashed window is a criminal, a looter.

Then it goes, what about riots and burning businesses. Obviously, NO ONE is claiming these are legal activities! Rioting and arson are two more crimes that should be stopped with a legal and reasonable amount of force. Sending Federal Troops into cites to stand against the population has not happened since the Civil War!

Federal troops, fully armed for combat, showing up to a peaceful rally causes totally needless friction; it is purposely done to intimidate the unarmed, vulnerable people long before the agitation begins. Often their very presence is what starts the friction. Everyone should have learned from Kent State that you don't send in the army just because you disagree with the protesters. These troops have no business on our streets. Trump can't have his secret army!

LOU DOBBS HAS ON-AIR MELTDOWN, CLAIMS 2020 ELECTION RESULT DENIES TRUMP ‘WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY HIS’

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs is taking President Donald Trump’s election loss even harder than Trump himself, angrily declaring Friday on his show that the result of the 2020 presidential race is denying the incumbent “what is rightfully his.”

“This is an effort to intimidate. This is an attempt to take over the country and deny this president what is rightfully his, a second term.”

Take over the country? Really, Lou? The voters have spoken, and they clearly said they don’t want Donald Trump to be president for a second term. They have voted in record numbers and given Joe Biden a resounding electoral victory.

Lou Dobbs and the other conspiracy theorists who refuse to accept the result of the 2020 election have a choice to make: They can either accept the will of the American people or they can pack their bags and move elsewhere. No one will miss them if they choose the latter.

While the owner of Tyson Foods became $600 million richer during the pandemic, 11,000 of his workers got COVID-19 because they were forced back to work in unsafe and unhealthy plants as managers placed bets on how many would get sick. We must end this disgusting corporate greed.

THE GREATEST PRESIDENT THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER HAD IS BEING CRUCIFIED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND MSM......

IT IS AMAZING TO ME THE BLINDNESS OF THE PEOPLE TO THE LAST FOUR YEARS OF GREAT PROSPERITY ON ALL FRONTS.

AND OF THE CONDUCT OF THE FAKE NEWS...........THE HISTORY BOOKS......WAIT.......THAT IS TURNING INTO FAKE NEWS TOO........

WELL THEN HOW ABOUT THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT??????????

AND ZUCKERBERG.........THE PARAGON OF VIRTURE AND HONESTY???????????????
Many wonder today why the Republican party does nothing to defeat the treasonous
schemes of the Democrats. It is because the pope’s Jesuits have thoroughly
infiltrated the Republican party as well as the Democratic party. Many wonder why
the news media lie so much to support and protect the Democrats. It is because the
pope’s Jesuits have thoroughly infiltrated the news media. The news media and
schools and colleges, with their lies and propaganda, have so conditioned the
people of the country that they are unable to recognize what has been done to them.
Victory for the Jesuits seems very near. The Jesuits are like a cancer that has
pervaded nearly every fiber of the society of the United States. We are being
defeated by the enemy within.

For many years the Jesuits have prevented the United States from developing
additional sources of energy within its own territory. Exploiting the vast oilfields on
the Alaskan north slope, that probably contain more oil than the entire middle east,
is forbidden. New nuclear power plants, the safest source of electric energy ever
discovered, are not permitted. There is no end to the lies people have been made to
believe about Nuclear energy. The environment is used as the club to subdue the
people of the country into going along with this idiocy. Modern technology is able to
develop these sources of power without any damage to the environment. France
gets 80% of its power from nuclear power plants without any problems. Needless to
say, without sufficient energy, the United States will not be able to defend itself. All
the papacy has to do is cut off the oil supply from the middle east.

The United States is now starting to feel the pinch of the energy shortage the Jesuits
have created. People have experienced blackouts over large areas as power is shut
off to stay within the limits of generating capacity. Today, instead of constructing
additional nuclear power plants, some of these plants are being dismantled! Will the
people of the United States be able to wake up in time to prevent the coming
national tragedy?

Not only in the United States is this treachery being perpetrated by the papacy, but
they are secretly at work all over the world to subvert all the nations of the world.

ANYONE that still supports Trump is an anti-American, seditious criminal!

Paulwhut supports sedition, treasonous actions against this nation and supports the worst person to ever occupy the White House. It is time to put this sedition down and to round up the treasonous mob that stormed the Capitol building.

Romney says that Trump impeachment trial is 'constitutional' and needed 'for accountability, truth, and justice'

Sen. Mitt Romney did not reveal if he would vote to convict former President Donald Trump for "incitement of insurrection" in the upcoming Senate impeachment trial, but he feels as though the proceedings are constitutional.

On "Fox News Sunday," the Utah Republican and 2012 GOP presidential nominee said that the current article "suggests impeachable conduct" as it pertains to the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

"I think there will be a trial and I hope it goes as quickly as possible but that's up to the counsel on both sides," he said. "There's no question that the article of impeachment that was sent over by the House suggests impeachable conduct, but we have not yet heard either from the prosecution or the defense."

Romney added: "I'll get a chance to hear from them, and I'll do my best as a Senate juror to apply justice as well as I can understand it."

In February 2020, Romney was the only Republican senator who voted to convict the president of abuse of power in the Senate trial of his first impeachment over the Ukraine scandal.

Host Chris Wallace asked Romney if the current article of impeachment should be tossed as a matter of procedure, since Trump is no longer is office.

"The Democrats have the majority in the Senate and I doubt they're going to go along with that move," he replied. "At the same time, if you look at the preponderance of the legal opinion by scholars over the years … the preponderance of opinion is that yes, an impeachment trial is appropriate after someone leaves office."

He then added: "If we're going to have unity in our country, I think it's important to recognize the need for accountability, for truth and justice."

Decent Americans don’t need unity with people disconnected from reality.

The nonsensical QAnon conspiracy movement that has polluted the Right and burrowed itself into partisan media and into our very political machinery, is predicated on fantastical and baseless claims intended to ratchet up irrational fear: invisible dangers operating in the shadows, Popes being secretly arrested, widespread rolling blackouts, massive child trafficking rings working under the direction of the Democrats.

These wild and reckless myths perpetuated by people who exist fully untethered from objective reality can simply not be tolerated by responsible, rational adults. We can and should work to find common ground across the sometimes vast chasms of politics and religion, in the turbulent trenches of immigration, healthcare, climate change, poverty. But there is no common ground to be found with unstable cultists, and we should not be burdened to find any.

What does this say about the character of a man that willingly declares a man guilty, but votes to acquit anyway?!

"He did not do his job," McConnell said after Saturday's vote. "He didn't take steps so federal law could be faithfully executed and order restored. No. Instead, according to public reports, he(Trump) watched television happily -- happily -- as the chaos unfolded."

Mitch McConnell is dangerously out of touch, living in an alternate reality than his constituents.

MITCH MCCONNELL SAYS HE’S WORRIED AMERICANS WON’T GO BACK TO WORK IF THEY GET $1,400 RELIEF CHECKS

Posted by Will Bishop | Mar 4, 2021

Even though a majority of Americans say they support the current coronavirus relief package currently being debated in Congress, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says he’s “concerned” that giving people money will make them lazy and deter them from returning to work.

McConnell replied: “Well, there is a concern about making it more advantageous to stay home rather than going back to work.”

Seconds later, McConnell added that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has killed over 511,000 Americans and left millions of people unemployed calls for “considerably less” spending than Democrats are proposing.

Wait a minute! Is this the same Mitch McConnell who gleefully helped the Trump administration pass not one but TWO direct payment bills in 2020? He certainly had no problem handing over $1,200 and another $600 to Americans when there was an election right around the corner. And all the while, both he and former President Donald Trump repeatedly tried to downplay the danger posed by the disease.

Now, however, with a Democrat in the White House, suddenly McConnell and his fellow Republicans have become fiscal conservatives, even though they were anything but frugal when they exploded the federal deficit with massive tax cuts for the rich that didn’t do a bit of good when it came to creating economic growth for middle class Americans.

If Mitch McConnell is so damn worried about the cost of the stimulus bill, why doesn’t he suggest repealing the Trump tax cuts and cutting back on defense spending until the U.S. economy is back on a firm footing? Because he’s far too busy being a hypocrite.

Kinzinger says McCarthy dismissed warnings of violence ahead of Jan. 6, praises Cheney

Kinzinger said Cheney is being forced from her leadership position because her refusal to equivocate about Trump's election defeat makes GOP members "uncomfortable."

Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger said Monday that he warned House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that the Republican Party was courting violence in the days preceding the Capitol riot and praised Rep. Liz Cheney for consistently telling the truth about former President Donald Trump.

Kinzinger, of Illinois, said House Republicans are moving this week to oust Cheney, of Wyoming, from her position as conference chair because her refusal to equivocate about Trump's election defeat has made it “uncomfortable” for their GOP colleagues.

“Liz is being chased out for one thing. Not for going after the president. ... She's been run out for one thing — her consistency. She said the same exact thing that Kevin McCarthy said on Jan. 6, which is Donald Trump is responsible” for the deadly riot, Kinzinger, an outspoken Trump critic, said in an interview hosted by the National Press Club.

He added: “If you want to hide because you don't want to tick off the base and tell the truth about Jan. 6, you don't want to have to admit that Joe Biden won an election, Cheney makes it uncomfortable for you, because when she's asked about it, she doesn't dance around. She just says the election wasn't stolen, Biden [is] president and Jan. 6 was a Trump-inspired insurrection.”

Earlier Monday, Kinzinger tweeted that he warned GOP leaders about potential violence on Jan. 6, the date set out for a joint session of Congress to tally electoral votes in a presidential election, a few days beforehand and he was dismissed. A pro-Trump mob, inspired by Trump's lies of a stolen election, assaulted the Capitol to disrupt that count formalizing Joe Biden's election win, leaving multiple people dead.

“A few days before Jan 6, our GOP members had a conference call. I told Kevin that his words and our party’s actions would lead to violence on January 6th. Kevin dismissively responded with “ok Adam, operator next question.” And we got violence,” he tweeted.

“I actually thought the person that should have their leadership challenged was Kevin McCarthy after Jan. 6, because that's why this all happened,” said Kinzinger.

Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH) said what a lot of the country is thinking today. If the GOP can’t cross the aisle to investigate an attack on their own workplace, then when will they ever come to a bipartisan agreement on anything? Before the votes were tallied in the House to authorize an investigation into the January 6 siege, Ryan made a brief, yet very impassioned statement on the House floor (watch above). He started by thanking the Republicans who did support the bill (there ended up being 35 of them). Then he went on to address those who voted against the bill:

“To the other 90% of our friends on the other side of the aisle, holy cow. Incoherence. No idea what you’re talking about. Benghazi, you guys chased the former Secretary of State all over the country, spent millions of dollars. We have people scaling the Capitol, hitting the Capitol Police with lead pipes across the head, and we can’t get bipartisanship. What else has to happen in this country? Cops, this is a slap in the face to every rank and file cop in the United States.

If we’re going to take on China, if we’re going to rebuild the country, if we’re going to reverse climate change, we need two political parties in this country that are both living in reality and you ain’t one of ’em.

Quote Of The Day: Rep. Tim Ryan

Senate Republicans Block Jan. 6 Riot Commission

“This vote has made it official: Donald Trump’s Big Lie has now fully enveloped the Republican Party. Donald Trump’s Big Lie is now the defining principle of what was once the party of Lincoln.”

Mr. Schumer told reporters Friday that he supported moving forward with a Democratic-led investigation, while noting that he might force another vote on the commission.

“It would be much better to do it in a bipartisan way, and that’s what this bill did, but better to investigate with a select committee than not investigate,” he said.

The House authorized the creation of the commission last week, 252 to 175, with 35 Republicans voting with Democrats in defiance of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) and Mr. Trump. But without Senate passage, the commission can’t be established.

The legislation was the product of talks between the chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, Democrat Bennie G. Thompson of Mississippi, and the panel’s top-ranking Republican, John Katko of New York. The panel would have had five members appointed by Democratic leaders and five by Republican leaders. Both sides would have shared responsibility for issuing subpoenas.

.PETE BUTTIGIEG SCHOOLS FOX HOST FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT PROTESTS AGAINST BRETT KAVANAUGH.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg gave a Fox News host a lesson in the Constitution and the right of every American to peacefully protest on Sunday.

Host Mike Emmanuel asked Buttigieg if he thought it was “appropriate” for protesters to demonstrate outside a restaurant where Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was having dinner earlier this week.

Buttigieg began by noting that all public officials “should always be free from violence,” and he added:

“You’re never going to be free from criticism or peaceful protests, people exercising their First Amendment rights.”

“That’s what happened in this case. Remember, the justice never even came into contact with these protesters, reportedly didn’t see or hear them. And these protesters are upset because a right, an important right that the majority of Americans support was taken away.

“Not only the right to choose by the way,” Buttigieg remarked, “but this justice was part of the process of stripping away the right to privacy. Since I’ve been alive, settled case law in the United States has been that the Constitution protected the right to privacy and that has now been thrown out the window by justices, including Justice Kavanaugh, who as I recall, swore up and down in front of God and everyone including the United States Congress that they were going to leave settled case law alone. So yes, people are upset. They’re going to exercise their First Amendment rights.”

“Compare that, for example, to the reality that as a country right now we are reckoning with the fact that a mob summoned by the former president…”

“…to the United States Capitol for the purpose of overthrowing the election and very nearly succeeded in preventing the peaceful transfer of power. I think common sense can tell the difference.”

The host then asked:

“But as a high-profile public figure, sir, are you comfortable with protesters protesting when you and your husband go to dinner at a restaurant?”

“Protesting peacefully outside in a public space? Sure. Look, I can’t even tell you the number of spaces, venues and scenarios where I’ve been protested. And the bottom line is this. Any public figure should always — always — be free from violence, intimidation and harassment. But should never be free from criticism or people exercising their First Amendment rights.”

Memo to the media: Holding Trump accountable for attempting a coup and making off with troves of top-secret documents is not a form of partisanship.

Your obsession with "balanced coverage" is dangerous. There is no middle ground between democracy and fascism.

.Top Republicans Keep Talking About Plans To Cut Medicare And Social Security.

Generally, three weeks before midterm elections that could make or break a party’s chances of congressional control, lawmakers emphasize the popular parts of their agenda. But for Republicans this year, not so.

For a few weeks now, they’ve been open about their intention to hold the debt ceiling hostage, a tactic they’ve used repeatedly since Tea Party Republicans tried it out in 2011. It works more or less the same way each time: Republican lawmakers say they will not vote to raise or suspend the debt ceiling, threatening to let the United States default on its debts, which would almost certainly trigger a global economic crisis. In exchange, they demand political concessions from the Democratic President.

This time, they’re planning to demand cuts to Medicare and Social Security — a policy position so staggeringly unpopular, one would expect them to keep it shelved until after they’d procured enough votes to enact it.

House Republicans, some of whom are poised to take over major committees in the case of a congressional flip, have been open about this intent both in interviews and, in terms of their desired changes to the programs, in the Republican Study Committee budget released earlier this year.

The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.
