.Trump accuses Democrats of ‘breaking in’ during first rally since Mar-a-Lago raid.Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Former President Donald Trump on Saturday night gave his first rally since Mar-a-Lago, his residence in Florida, was raided by FBI agents last month searching for classified documents he took from the White House at the end of his presidency. Trump, while stumping for Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Monstriano, accused Democrats of "weaponizing the Justice Department and the FBI" and "raiding and breaking into the homes of their political opponents."
The former president said that the FBI searched through the closet of his wife, Melania, as well as his son Barron Trump's bedroom.
"The FBI and Justice Department have become vicious monsters controlled by radical left scoundrels, lawyers and the media, who tell them what to do and when to do it," Trump said.
Trump tried to describe the raid a persecution of American citizens, not just him, using a propaganda technique where the speaker identifies the listeners as victims.
Barr, the attorney general under Donald Trump, on Friday defended the FBI search of the former president's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida last month.
"People say that this is unprecedented, but it's also unprecedented for a president to take all this classified information and put it in a country club," Barr said. "How long is the government going to try and get that back?" Barr added.
"The facts are starting to show that they were being jerked around."The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. .Trump's 'personality disorder' has infected the Republican Party: conservative. In his column for the Atlantic, former George W. Bush administration official and longtime conservative commentator Peter Wehner claims that Donald Trump has done irreparable damage to the Republican Party because it has adopted some of his worst characteristics and tactics.
Pointing out that the Republican Party he joined stood for law and order and moral values, the columnist claimed the current iteration has thrown it away because of their "... fealty to Trump despite his ceaseless lying and dehumanizing rhetoric, his misogyny and appeals to racism, his bullying and conspiracy theories."
"Something malicious has occurred since Trump won the nomination in 2016. Six years ago, Republicans jettisoned their previous moral commitments in order to align themselves with the MAGA movement. Today, they have inverted them. Lawmakers, candidates, and those in the right-wing media ecosystem celebrate and imitate Trump’s nihilism, cynicism, and cruelty," he wrote before adding, " what was once considered a bug is now a feature. This is the result of individuals’ and institutions’ accommodation of one moral transgression after another after another. With each moral compromise, the next one—a worse one—becomes easier to accept. Conduct that would have horrified Republicans in the past now causes them, at best, to shrug their shoulders; at worst, they delight in it."The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. .Trump threatens to sue Jan. 6 Committee for not investigating vote fraud claims debunked by his own officials. There is no evidence of any kind that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
On Monday night, in a series of posts to his Truth Social platform, former President Donald Trump touted his new $475 million lawsuit against CNN for calling his election conspiracy theories "the Big Lie" — and vowed to take it even further by suing the House January 6 Select Committee next.
"We may bring appropriate action against the Unselect Committee of January 6th because, notwithstanding overwhelming evidence, they REFUSED to investigate the massive Presidential Election Fraud which took place, but only investigate and harass the people and Patriots who complained and asked questions about it," wrote Trump. "The rigging and stealing of our Presidential Election was perhaps The Crime Of The Century, and look at what is happening to our Country now!"
Trump went on in another post to blame everyone but himself for the January 6 attack.
"The Unselect Committee has refused to acknowledge, as was done by the Biden Inspector General at the Department of Defense, and others, that days ahead of January 6th, I recommended and authorized thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol and throughout the Country," wrote Trump. "That offer of National Guard was rejected by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Mayor Bowser of Washington, D.C. — the law requires their request, they failed to make one, and in turn failed the Country."
Most of Trump's claim is false. Mayor Muriel Bowser did in fact request the National Guard, Pelosi did not reject an offer of the National Guard, she didn't have any authority over Guard movements in the first place, and Trump didn't activate the Guard at all on January 6, with them being deployed only after former Vice President Mike Pence intervened and went outside the chain of command to order them to help. The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. Well, so much for the 'red wave'....Trump blames McConnell for GOP election losses: ‘He blew the midterms’.Former President Trump sought to pin blame on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) Sunday after Republicans lost the battle for control of the Senate.
While the GOP is still favored to win the House, the party fell far short of its expectations heading into Tuesday, and many Republicans have blamed the former president and the candidates he backed in key swing states.
However, Trump to his social media site on Sunday to make the case that the midterms were McConnell’s fault, due in part to the Senate GOP’s campaign arm not spending big on Blake Masters’ bid to unseat Sen. Mark Kelly in Arizona.
“It’s Mitch McConnell’s fault. Spending money to defeat great Republican candidates instead of backing Blake Masters and others was a big mistake,” Trump wrote, referring to pouring money into Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Alaska) race against Trump-backed Kelly Tshibaka.
“He blew the Midterms, and everyone despises him and his otherwise lovely wife, Coco Chow!” Trump said.
McConnell has feuded with Trump since the Senate GOP leader denounced the former president on the Senate floor following the Capitol riots and Trump’s false claims the 2020 election was stolen.
Republicans lost the Senate on Saturday after Democrats clinched a key seat in Nevada. If Democrats win a Dec. 6 runoff in Georgia, the party may have a larger majority than it did in the last Congress.
McConnell has been tightlipped since Tuesday, but predicted a close Senate race, in part due to the “quality” of the GOP’s Senate candidates, many of which were selected by Trump.
Masters, who was endorsed by Trump, had backed the former president’s claims about the 2020 election even though he later tried to backtrack.
Other Senate candidates who lost, including Don Bolduc in New Hampshire, had espoused similar rhetoric about the 2020 election. The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. Trump companies ‘cultivated a culture of fraud and deception,’ prosecutor says~ Gustaf Kilander ~A Manhattan prosecutor has told a jury that Mr Trump’s companies “cultivated a culture of fraud and deception” that meant that executives could receive perks that weren’t subject to tax.
Assistant Manhattan District Attorney Joshua Steinglass said that took deliberate actions to hide income from the IRS, and blamed their accountants when confronted, the New York Daily News reported.
“It’s not that the folks at the Trump corporation didn’t know what they were doing was illegal,” Mr Steinglass said. “They just didn’t care.”The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. .'You don't get to lead a government you tried to destroy': Democrats file bill to ban Donald Trump from office.U.S. Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), joined by 40 of his House Democratic colleagues Thursday, introduced a lengthy bill that would ban Donald Trump from becoming president again after he attempted a coup.
“Donald Trump very clearly engaged in an insurrection on January 6, 2021 with the intention of overturning the lawful and fair results of the 2020 election,” Cicilline says in a press release. “You don’t get to lead a government you tried to destroy.”
“Even Mitch McConnell admits that Trump bears responsibility, saying on the Senate floor that ‘[t]here’s no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day.’ The 14th Amendment makes clear that based on his past behavior, Donald Trump is disqualified from ever holding federal office again and, under Section 5, Congress has the power to pass legislation to implement this prohibition,” Cicilline adds.
Last month in a letter to his colleagues Rep. Cicilline explained the bill, citing Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment.
“This language in our Constitution clearly intended to bar insurrectionists from holding high office in the United States. Given the proof – demonstrated through the January 6th Committee Hearings, the 2021 impeachment trial, and other reporting – that Donald Trump engaged in insurrection on January 6th with the intention of overturning the lawful 2020 election results, I have drafted legislation that would prevent Donald Trump from holding public office again under the Fourteenth Amendment,” Cicilline wrote, according to ABC News.
The bill’s text says its purpose is to “provide that Donald J. Trump is ineligible to again hold the office of President of the United States or to hold any office, civil or military, under the United States.”
It also says, “Mr. Donald J. Trump did engage in insurrection against the United States by mobilizing, inciting, and aiding those who attacked the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, to disrupt certification of the 2020 Presidential Election as required by the Twelfth Amendment to the Constitution and the Electoral Count Act of 1887 (3 U.S.C. 15), and a majority of both the House of Representatives and the United States Senate concluded as much through the House of Representatives’ vote to impeach Mr. Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors and the majority of the Senate voting to convict Mr. Trump of Incitement of Insurrection on February 13, 2021, with a vote of 57–43.”The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. For many years the Jesuits have prevented the United States from developing additional sources of energy within its own territory. The United States is now starting to feel the pinch of the energy shortage the Jesuits have created. Today, instead of constructing additional nuclear power plants, some of these plants are being dismantled! .Trump Declared In Presidential Debate He Shut Down Chinese Bank Account. He Didn't..Donald Trump insisted in response to a question during a 2020 presidential debate with Joe Biden that he closed down his bank account in China before his first campaign. But six years of Trump’s tax records released Friday reveal that wasn’t true.
“I had an account open, and I closed it,” Trump said with some irritation to moderator Kristen Welker, NBC White House correspondent, in the final debate of the campaign in October that year. “I closed it before I even ran for president, let alone became president.”
Representative-elect Daniel Goldman (D-N.Y.), who served as the Democrats’ lead counsel in the first impeachment inquiry into Trump, noted that the former president had bank accounts in China until 2018, from 2015 to 2017, according to his tax records.
“Generally, you only have bank accounts in a foreign country if you are doing transactions in that country’s currency. What business was Trump doing in China while he was President?” he asked Friday in a tweet.
Trump, who had accounts in a number of countries and also collected income from more than a dozen foreign nations while in office, paid more in taxes in 2020 to the Chinese government than he did in American federal income tax that year, his returns revealed.
Trump also lied a month earlier to then-Fox News commentator Chris Wallace, who pointedly asked him during the first presidential debate in 2020 if he paid only $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017, as The New York Times had reported (which Trump immediately blasted as “fake news”).
Trump angrily responded — twice — that he had paid “millions of dollars.” His returns revealed that indeed he had paid just $750 in federal income taxes in each of those years. Trump and his wife Melania paid no federal income tax in 2020, the last full year he was in office, according to the tax records.
Trump also didn’t annually donate his $400,000 presidential salary to charity, as he has claimed. He declared no charitable contributions of any kind on his 2020 returns.
Among the early revelations emerging in Trump’s tax records, some of the most troubling are his financial entanglement abroad while he was president,
“highlighting a string of potential conflicts of interest,” Politico noted.
Trump had multiple bank accounts in a number of foreign countries, and collected millions of dollars in income from more than a dozen nations, including Panama, the Philippines — whose dictator President Rodrigo Duterte he praised — and the United Arab Emirates during the Trump administration.
While presidents routinely place assets in blind trusts while they’re in office, Trump’s eldest sons continued to openly operate the Trump Organization and forged deals around the world with nations impacted by the Trump administration’s policies and expenditures.
Trump’s returns reveal hefty financial losses in the two years before he became president, some of which he carried forward to reduce tax bills.
He enjoyed an adjusted gross income of $15.8 million during his first three years in office. Trump paid $642,000 in federal income tax in 2015, $750 in 2016 and in 2017, just under $1 million in 2018, $133,000 in 2019 and nothing in 2020.

.Trump was on the verge of being off the hook until the DOJ obtained incriminating doc tapes: report.Donald Trump could have walked away unscathed from his squabble with the Department of Justice over sensitive documents he was hoarding at his Mar-a-Lago resort up until the moment investigators received recordings of him boasting about the documents and then sharing them with aides, a report revealed Friday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, officials at the risk-averse DOJ were willing to not pursue charges if the former president had handed the documents over after months of stalling, but the bombshell recordings forced their hand and resulted in special counsel Jack Smith seeking a 37-count indictment.
The Journal's Aruna Viswanatha and Sadie Gurman reported that the DOJ was reluctant to proceed with indicting a former president and there was a hope that an "off-ramp" would spare Attorney General Merrick Garland from pursuing criminal charges.
As they wrote, "Some officials at the time, even with evidence Trump might have obstructed the response to the May 11, 2022, subpoena demanding the production of classified documents, said their main interest in conducting the Mar-a-Lago search was to return any such material to the government’s possession."
The report continued, "Momentum shifted around February of this year, when investigators got hold of an audio recording of a July 21, 2021, meeting at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, N.J., where Trump and his aides met with people working on an autobiography of his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows."
The report notes that those recordings were the smoking gun that took a simple settlement off the table, explaining, "At the time of the search and in the ensuing months, investigators had only heard rumors of Trump’s sharing sensitive documents with donors or other political allies, including on his plane, some of the people familiar with the matter said. They hadn’t established whether such claims were credible."
Adding that "authorities appeared at times to give Trump’s team the benefit of the doubt," the Journal report notes, "In bringing the case, Smith appears to be continuing to take a careful approach, charging dozens of counts but deferring to Trump’s legal team in other ways that are unusual, compared with how the Justice Department treats most federal criminal defendants facing similar charges."

.Trump is testing out a surprising new defense strategy: admitting he's a liar.As he faces 37 felony counts related to his handling of classified documents, former President Donald Trump is trotting out a surprising new strategy: publicly admitting that he lied.
The latest defense came in an interview with ABC News on Tuesday, where Trump insisted that he had "no regrets" about his actions and that he was just trying to impress people when he appeared to show off "highly confidential" information to his aides during a meeting in 2021.
Trump now says the papers he showed off were harmless, and that he lied about them being classified.
"If you want to know the truth, it was bravado. I was just talking and holding up papers and talking about, but I have no documents," Trump told ABC, referring to his conversation, which was captured on audio and detailed in the special counsel Jack Smith's indictment earlier this month.
"I didn't have any documents," the former president said.
It's a remarkable shift for the former president, who has in the past boasted about having access to the country's most sensitive secrets.
Before the indictment was unsealed, Trump tested out a number of other defenses, including claiming that the Presidential Records Act meant he could take what he wanted from the White House, and that he could declassify anything he wanted to.
Prosecutors didn't buy that excuse — and Trump didn't buy it either, according to the indictment.
"See, as president, I could have declassified it," Trump told his aides during the 2021 meeting, referring to a Pentagon document he allegedly showed off. "Now I can't, you know, but this is still a secret."The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. .Judge rules Trump engaged in repeated fraud, effectively deciding $250M civil trial.Former President Donald Trump submitted "fraudulent valuations" for assets that were then used by himself, his eldest sons and his business to obtain better loan and insurance terms, a judge in New York decided Tuesday before ordering the cancelation of the company's business certificates in New York.
Judge Arthur Engoron cites "false and misleading square footage" of Trump's Fifth Avenue apartment among other faulty valuations.
The judge immediately canceled all of the defendants' business certificates in New York, and ordered that they must recommend no more than three potential independent receivers to manage the dissolution of the canceled LLCs within 10 days.
The move severely restricts Trump's ability to conduct business in New York going forward.
The judge said Trump and the other defendants have a "propensity to engage in persistent fraud," severely undercutting the defense Trump will offer when the case goes on trial next month.
Engoron wrote in his order that Trump, his adult sons, Eric and Don Jr., and the other defendants fraudulently inflated the value of properties including Trump's Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida and his own triplex apartment in New York City, as well as 40 Wall Street, Trump Park Avenue, multiple golf courses, and an estate in upstate New York. The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war. We do not have "open" borders, that is right-wing propaganda.
energy dependant......we are hurting.
We were energy independent under Obama and we are still a world leading EXPORTER of energy.
lives lost overseas.....not to mention property.....military gear
We have lost lives overseas under EVERY POTUS including Trump!
economy in tatters
Again, more right-wing propaganda. The economy is doing fine with lowest unemployment in decades, under Trump, millions of jobs were lost!
social upheaval
Trump brought us most of the "social upheaval" when he said there were good Nazis and KKK members and encouraged fringe right-wing extremists like the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys and the rest of the domestic terrorists Trump sent to overthrow our election on January 6, 2021.
crime rampant across the land
https://usafacts.org/state-of-the-union/crime-justice/
Violent crime fell by 1.7% in 2021 after growing by 4.6% in 2020. Property crime fell for the second year in a row in 2021 by 4.5%.
evil in the house of biden
What about the felonious Trump crime family? No person under indictment is qualified to run for ANY public office. The entire Trump family is guilty of tremendous fraud and may be banned from doing business in New York.
America is reeling from the effects of the dems.........
Yes, America is reeling because of the obstructionist Republican party blocking ANY good the Democrats have tried to accomplish.
you are entirely quiet....what does this say of you?
You're right, I am quiet because I support much of the Democrat's agenda.
Mr hater of America?.....you are obsessed with Trump.......and are entirely quiet on the bidens.......
I do not hate the United States of America, YOU support the insurrection and traitorous Republican party! If Trump simply faded away, I would not have to point out his corruption, but he is attempting to steal another election that he is clearly not qualified to fulfill.
shame on your butt.
I have no need of shame, but you, on the other and support the most evil, corrupt person ever to sully the White House!
compare the four years of Trump.....since biden took office America has been flushed down the toilet.
Obviously, you are simply ignorant and blind, not only in politics, but in your religion as well! Trump broke treaties, alienating long time allies and making this nation the laughing stock of the world. New nuclear power plants, the safest source of electric energy ever discovered, are not permitted. There is no end to the lies people have been made to believe about Nuclear energy. The environment is used as the club to subdue the people of the country into going along with this idiocy. Modern technology is able to develop these sources of power without any damage to the environment. France gets 80% of its power from nuclear power plants without any problems. Needless to say, without sufficient energy, the United States will not be able to defend itself. All the papacy has to do is cut off the oil supply from the middle east.
The United States is now starting to feel the pinch of the energy shortage the Jesuits have created. People have experienced blackouts over large areas as power is shut off to stay within the limits of generating capacity. Today, instead of constructing additional nuclear power plants, some of these plants are being dismantled! Will the people of the United States be able to wake up in time to prevent the coming national tragedy?
Not only in the United States is this treachery being perpetrated by the papacy, but they are secretly at work all over the world to subvert all the nations of the world.
"And all the world wondered after the beast." Rev 13:3 last part.

Yes, some Republican governors have shipped bus-loads of migrants into Democratic states and cities in violation of our immigration laws all in an effort to "own" the Democrats. The Republicans outright lie to these people claiming there is housing and jobs waiting where they are being sent when there have been no such arrangements.
Sorry to break the news, but you and I are in the very same boat with Biden at the helm.
How can ANY patriotic American support a man with NINETY FELONY charges in at least four different courts?!

you and the bidens are in the same boat. The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.
