A man admitted to using his dead mother's name to vote for Trump and blamed 'too much propaganda'

A Pennsylvania man who used his dead mother's name to vote for former President Donald Trump in last year's presidential election blamed "too much propaganda."

Bruce Bartman on Friday plead guilty to one count of unlawful voting and two counts of perjury, according to the Associated Press. The 70-year-old was sentenced to five years probation. He is also barred from voting for four years and he can't serve on a jury, the report said.

In court, Bartman apologized to the judge for his crimes and said he made a mistake.

"I was isolated last year in lockdown," Bartman said in Delaware County Common Pleas Court, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer."I listened to too much propaganda and made a stupid mistake."

Bartman was accused of registering his deceased mother and mother-in-law on Pennsylvania online voter registration portal last August. He successfully cast a ballot in his mother's name to vote for Trump and other Republicans, Insider's Jacob Shamsian previously reported.

Bartman was charged in December in the midst of Trump's baseless claims about voter fraud in the presidential election.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bartman's lawyer doubled down on his client's remarks saying his actions were "a very misguided political mistake, and very stupid" in court on Friday.

In an interview with Insider in December, Stretton said his client thought he was participating in "civil disobedience" by illegally voting on behalf of his mother.

"He was angry at people criticizing the president and complaining about the election process, and he wanted to do what he considered civil disobedience by registering his mother and voting her," Stretton previously told Insider. "Of course, he was wildly mistaken."

On October 23, 2010, McConnell stated, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

Recently, on May 5, 2020, McConnell stated, "100% of my focus is on stopping this new administration."

What's wrong with these people?! Has the GOP forgotten that they are supposed to legislate, pass bills that will benefit The People not just block them, not continue to be the Grim Reaper, the leader of the party of no? McConnell was proud to claim he is the Grim Reaper, where all Democratic bills come to die. If they cannot do their assigned task to legislate or serve The People, they need to stand aside and let Biden lead!

The former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele on Elise Stefanik...

"Was she full of crap then or is she full of crap now?" Steele asked. "Either way, crap is crap."

"And the best reflection of where the GOP is right now, is they are about to knock out a principled woman for crap. Donald Trump brought the gold toilet into the RNC and everyone thinks it's a pool and they're just diving in," he explained.

.Joe Manchin slammed in hometown paper op-ed: He 'wins' -- we 'lose'.

Senator Joe Manchin's intransigence in negotiations with members of his own party over a massive bill to develop America's infrastructure was blasted in an op-ed in his hometown newspaper -- just days after the same paper ran an op-ed from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who also took him to task.

On Sunday, Sanders wrote, "The Build Back Better plan is not only vitally important for seniors, but it is enormously important for working families and their children. As a result of the $300 direct payments to working class parents which began in the American Rescue Plan, we have cut childhood poverty in our country by half. It would be unconscionable to see those payments end, which is exactly what will happen if we do not pass this bill."

Manchin fired back at Sanders by issuing a statement that read, in part: "This isn't the first time an out-of-stater has tried to tell West Virginians what is best for them despite having no relationship to our state."

Manchin won't be able to make the same response to the former Charleston Gazette-Mirror contributor who penned Thursday's criticism of the senior Democratic senator. According to Dan Kurland, "Manchin wins, West Virginia loses."

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin said today that he doesn't oppose taxing billionaires, BUT he doesn't think they should be singled out -- suggesting that everyone should have to pay taxes on at least some of their income. If Manchin doesn't sign on, the billionaire tax is dead.

Why shouldn't Manchin sign on? How many billionaires are there in West Virginia anyway? On the other hand, how many West Virginians would benefit from access to affordable childcare, healthcare, pre-K, community college, and paid leave?

Manchin must know that just about everyone in America pays taxes on something -- sales taxes, the gas tax, property taxes, and so on. These are all in effect taxes on income because they reduce net income. And levying a tax on billionaires doesn't "single out" billionaires. It simply acknowledges a hard truth about the American economy today -- that more and more of the nation's wealth is going to a few people at the top.

Say it ain't so, Joe.

Graham lambasted the apparent security failures that took place at the Capitol on Jan. 6, telling reporters afterward that he was "embarrassed" and "disgusted" that rioters had been able to breach the building.

"They could have blown the building up. They could have killed us all. They could've destroyed the government," Graham said to reporters one day after the breach. "Lethal force should have been used. ... We dodged a major bullet. If this is not a wake-up call I don't know what is."

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) also noted that Graham "screamed" at the Senate sergeant-at-arms during the attack for not doing "enough" while U.S. senators were sheltering in place.

.Why Biden's record on jobs has been 'dramatically underestimated'.

A couple of weeks ago, the latest monthly jobs report offered great news: The U.S. economy added more than 500,000 jobs in October and the unemployment rate improved to a 19-month low. For those concerned about the strength of the economic recovery, the data created new confidence.

The Republican National Committee, however, didn't quite see it that way. Sure the job the numbers were encouraging, but, the RNC said, the news followed months of "bad jobs reports."

All of which led to an important follow-up question Republicans have been reluctant to answer: "What bad jobs reports?" The Washington Post ran an important piece on this overnight, with a headline that read, "The government dramatically underestimated job growth this summer."

What the public didn't see was a bunch of news stories saying, "Never mind those bad headlines; we didn't realize until later that the job totals were actually great after all."

Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii added this morning, "I guess I'm not exactly sure why what's happening isn't being characterized as a booming recovery from a worldwide shutdown."

The senator's point is sound: The U.S. economy has already created 5.8 million jobs this year — far above any year in recent memory — and it's currently on pace to finish 2021 with nearly 7 million jobs created this year.

By any fair measure, that's a success story Americans can and should feel good about, headlines and RNC press releases based on incomplete preliminary job totals notwithstanding.

.Steve Bannon explains latest 'overthrow' plan: 'We're going to take over the election apparatus'.

Conservative broadcaster Steve Bannon explained on Monday that he has an expansive plan to "take over the election apparatus."

"All the MSNBC producers should understand something," Bannon said. "We're going to get it decertified in Arizona, in Georgia, in Pennsylvania, in -- wait for it -- Wisconsin. We're going to get these electors decertified."

"And guess what. We're going to take over the election apparatus," he added. "American citizens that are volunteering. I understand that you don't think that's democracy because the globalists have kind of done the misdirection plays and had everybody looking the other way. No, no, no, no. Those days are over."

Bannon noted that many members of his audience have military and law enforcement training.

"They are now going to volunteer to become a precinct committeeman, they're going to volunteer to become an election official, they're going to come and run for county clerk and overthrow these county clerks and they're going to take over the secretaries of state," he explained.

"And we're going to be relentless and we're not going to give up," he added. "And we're going to take over with elections.

.Tucker Carlson mocks Ted Cruz, Republicans for saying Jan. 6 was a ‘violent terrorist attack’.

After Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) on Wednesday described the Jan. 6 riot as “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol,” GOP strategist Karl Rove urged Republicans nationwide to reflect on the first anniversary and show their patriotism by offering “no absolution for those who planned, encouraged and aided the attempt to overthrow our democracy.”

But on Fox News, Tucker Carlson not only mocked the idea that the storming of the Capitol was an insurrection but also accused Cruz and other Republicans of “repeating the talking points that Merrick Garland has written for them.” The attorney general earlier Wednesday vowed to hold accountable all those responsible for the Jan. 6 riot — whether they were at the U.S. Capitol or committed other crimes surrounding the day’s events.

Amid the pushback from Carlson and Bannon on Cruz’s comments, Rove wrote in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal, headlined “Republicans’ Jan. 6 Responsibility,” that the GOP has a duty to condemn the riot.

“There can be no soft-pedaling what happened and no absolution for those who planned, encouraged and aided the attempt to overthrow our democracy,” he wrote Wednesday. “Love of country demands nothing less. That’s true patriotism.”

While Rove claimed that most who were at the Capitol were not violent, the former deputy chief of staff for President George W. Bush pushed Republicans to think about a scenario in which the events of Jan. 6 unfolded with liberals storming the Capitol instead of a pro-Trump mob.

“If Democrats had done what some Trump supporters did on that violent Jan. 6, Republicans would have criticized them mercilessly and been right to do so,” he wrote. “Republicans would have torched any high official who encouraged violence or stood mute while it was waged and been right to do so. Republicans would have demanded an investigation to find who was responsible for the violence and been right to do so.”

.'Emasculation and humiliation': Steve Schmidt shreds Ted Cruz's groveling Fox News appearance.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Thursday appeared on Tucker Carlson's show and issued a groveling apology for describing the rioters who stormed the United States Capitol as "terrorists" earlier in the week.

"The way I phrased things yesterday, it was sloppy and it was, frankly, dumb," said Cruz, who came under heavy criticism from Carlson for purportedly smearing Trump supporters with the phrase.

Former Republican strategist Steve Schmidt was quick to pounce on Cruz's performance, which he called just the latest in a long string of embarrassments for the one-time presidential contender.

"Ted Cruz groveling for favor between twitches as he absorbs the emasculating lecture from 2024 contender Tucker Carlson is a depraved spectacle that affirms the old proverbs about cowards tasting a thousand deaths," Schmidt writes on Twitter. "'When a coward sees a man he can beat he becomes hungry for a fight' is an old African proverb. Perhaps if Ted knew it he wouldn’t have so misjudged Tucker. Emasculation and humiliation seem to lurk like Nag and Nagina around Ted’s ambition."

Trump supporters like Bobbit and Greene need to actually read the Holy Bible they wave!

Matthew 26:50 Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.”

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51 With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

.A Florida Republican who was defeated by 59 percentage points in a congressional special election won't concede.

A Florida Republican who last Tuesday lost a congressional special election by a landslide margin in a heavily Democratic district has declined to concede the race, according to CBS Miami.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick — a progressive Democrat who pledged to fight for $1,000 monthly checks for Americans and backs policies including the Green New Deal and Medicare for All — easily defeated Republican Jason Mariner in a race to succeed the late Congressman Alcee Hastings, who passed away in April 2021.

With all precincts reporting, Cherfilus-McCormick defeated Mariner by a 78.7% to 19.6% margin in Florida's 20th District — representing a 59.1 percentage-point victory. The congresswoman received 43,663 votes to her opponent's 10,883 votes in a clear victory.

However, in a move reminiscent of former President Donald Trump, who continues to dispute his election loss to President Joe Biden, Mariner has pointed to irregularities in the South Florida district.

"Now they called the race — I did not win, so they say, but that does not mean that they lost either, it does not mean that we lost," the Republican told CBS after the race was called for Cherfilus-McCormick.

.Ginni Thomas and Mark Meadows texted about overturning 2020 election.

Virginia Thomas, a conservative activist married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, repeatedly pressed White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to pursue unrelenting efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in urgent text exchanges in the critical weeks following the vote, according to copies of the messages obtained by CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa and Bob Woodward of The Washington Post.

Those messages — part of 29 total messages obtained — reveal an extraordinary pipeline between Virginia Thomas, who goes by Ginni, and then-President Donald Trump's top aide during a period when Trump and his allies were vowing to go to the Supreme Court in an effort to subvert the election results.

The messages, which do not directly reference Justice Thomas or the Supreme Court, show for the first time how Ginni Thomas used her access to Trump's inner circle to encourage and seek to guide the president's strategy to overturn the election results — and how receptive and grateful Meadows said he was to receive her advice. Among Thomas' stated goals in the messages was for lawyer Sidney Powell, who promoted incendiary and unsupported claims about the election, to become "the lead and the face" of Trump's legal team.

The messages were among the 2,320 text messages that Meadows provided the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The existence of messages between Thomas and Meadows — 21 sent by her; eight by him — have not previously been reported and were reviewed by CBS News and The Post. They were then confirmed by five people who have seen the committee's documents.

.Leader of push to fund Trump's border wall pleads guilty to fraud, tax charges.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran who helped lead a fundraising campaign to build former President Donald Trump's promised wall along the U.S.-Mexican border pleaded guilty on Thursday to conspiring to defraud donors.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan said Brian Kolfage told prospective donors he would "not take a penny" as he raised more than $25 million for the "We Build the Wall" campaign, yet took more than $350,000 and spent money on a boat, a luxury SUV, a golf cart, jewelry and cosmetic surgery.

Kolfage, who also pleaded guilty to three tax charges, created the private campaign in December 2018, 14 years after losing his legs and right hand in a rocket attack in Iraq.

The Miramar Beach, Florida, resident had led the fundraising push alongside former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, who was also charged in August 2020.

Bannon's case was dismissed after Trump granted him a presidential pardon during the final hours of his presidency.

At a remote hearing on Thursday, Kolfage said he told potential donors that their money would be used exclusively to build a wall, but instead kept a large sum for himself and concealed it from authorities to avoid paying taxes.

"I knew what I was doing was wrong and a crime," Kolfage told U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres.

A co-defendant, Andrew Badolato, also pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy on Thursday.

Kolfage could face 4-1/4 to 5-1/4 years in prison under recommended federal guidelines, while Badolato faces 41 to 51 months. Sentencings for both were scheduled for September.

The final defendant, Timothy Shea, has pleaded not guilty. His lawyer said this month that Shea would exercise "his constitutional right to a fair trial."

The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.

I HAVE NEVER KNOWN OF SUCH STUPIDITY AS WHAT COMES FROM MURKY AND HIS DEMOCRATIC FAR LEFT LIBERAL PARTY.

THESE PAST FEW YEARS HAS BEEN AN EXERCISE IN AMAZEMENT.

THIS COUNTRY HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE TRASH CAN.

DEFUND THE POLICE???????????????????????????????????

OUR ENERGY SITUATION IS DEPLORABLE

OH YES.....IF YOU LIKE YOUR DOCTOR, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!!!

THE BORDER SITUATION IS RUINOUS

AFGHANISTAN WAS A DEBACLE

NY CITY IS IN SHAMBLES

THE DEMS HAVE RUINED DISNEY............GO DEMS GO GO GO GO

LOOK AT THE WEST COAST.........PEOPLE POOPING IN THE STREETS

BIDEN IS A LIAR AS IS THE REST OF THE DEMS....INCLUDING MURKY.
Many wonder today why the Republican party does nothing to defeat the treasonous
schemes of the Democrats. It is because the pope’s Jesuits have thoroughly
infiltrated the Republican party as well as the Democratic party. Many wonder why
the news media lie so much to support and protect the Democrats. It is because the
pope’s Jesuits have thoroughly infiltrated the news media. The news media and
schools and colleges, with their lies and propaganda, have so conditioned the
people of the country that they are unable to recognize what has been done to them.
Victory for the Jesuits seems very near. The Jesuits are like a cancer that has
pervaded nearly every fiber of the society of the United States. We are being
defeated by the enemy within.

For many years the Jesuits have prevented the United States from developing
additional sources of energy within its own territory. Exploiting the vast oilfields on
the Alaskan north slope, that probably contain more oil than the entire middle east,
is forbidden. New nuclear power plants, the safest source of electric energy ever
discovered, are not permitted. There is no end to the lies people have been made to
believe about Nuclear energy. The environment is used as the club to subdue the
people of the country into going along with this idiocy. Modern technology is able to
develop these sources of power without any damage to the environment. France
gets 80% of its power from nuclear power plants without any problems. Needless to
say, without sufficient energy, the United States will not be able to defend itself. All
the papacy has to do is cut off the oil supply from the middle east.

The United States is now starting to feel the pinch of the energy shortage the Jesuits
have created. People have experienced blackouts over large areas as power is shut
off to stay within the limits of generating capacity. Today, instead of constructing
additional nuclear power plants, some of these plants are being dismantled! Will the
people of the United States be able to wake up in time to prevent the coming
national tragedy?

Not only in the United States is this treachery being perpetrated by the papacy, but
they are secretly at work all over the world to subvert all the nations of the world.

Unfortunately, Paulwhut has a problem with reality. There is just no way to have a discussion with a man that refuses to accept a known fact. The man refuses to accept the Holy Bible and chooses to follow every and any publication by Ellen White, how can anyone expect him to believe the truth?

.REPUBLICAN LAWMAKER TOUTS INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING SHE VOTED AGAINST AND GETS BURIED FOR IT.

A Texas GOP congresswoman gushed about the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport receiving badly needed funding from the federal government. The problem is that she hypocritically voted against the infrastructure bill that made this funding possible.

Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-Texas) was not one of the few Republicans in the House who voted in favor of passing the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill last year. Instead, she voted against it and referred to it as “socialism” in a desperate effort to kiss up to Donald Trump. Speaking of Trump, President Joe Biden would go on to sign the bill and troll Trump for failing to pass his own infrastructure bill.

Since then, Republicans across the country have tried taking credit for the legislation even though they voted against it, only to be called out for their hypocrisy. On Thursday, Van Duyne also attempted to take credit for the legislation by touting funding to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, funding the airport would not have received if she had had her way.

Just like the other Republicans who falsely claimed credit for the infrastructure funding, Twitter users were quick to remind Van Duyne that she voted against it.
The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.

.Fox News shamed for trying to spin 'blockbuster' jobs report.

Fox News editors tried to spin Friday’s surprisingly strong jobs report into an attack on President Joe Biden and Democrats — and it didn't go well.

On Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the July jobs numbers, which showed that the U.S. economy added more than 500,000 new jobs.

CNN called it a “massive jobs surprise.” Even CNBC’s conservative editor Rick Santelli, who sparked the Tea Party movement with an on-air rant, heralded the jobs report as “a whopper.”

Analysts overall expected the report to show 258,000 new jobs created, but it came in more than double that, with 528,000 new jobs. Unemployment dropped slightly to 3.5%, far below the 5% mark economists used to use as a marker of “full employment.”

Economists cheered the results. Even those typically more pessimistic found the jobs report excellent news. Some said it signaled the absence of a recession, and predicted inflation would come under control as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates. The price of gas has also dropped dramatically, with some stations now selling at under $3.00 a gallon.

Meanwhile, Fox News decided to use the White House’s prediction that the jobs numbers would not be great against them.

Attorney Brad Moss, a frequent social media commenter, observed: “Fox News is desperately trying to spin this blockbuster jobs report against Biden. If Trump was in office, they’d be running celebration videos complete with champagne.”
